I love spending time with my buddy and learning about her past. She is a remarkable woman who owned her own summer camp and then her own funeral home. Elaine is clearly a leader and strong woman: standing up for her moral convictions on multiple occasions, have a positive attitude no matter the situation, and filled with constant joy.
She teaches me much about life and brightens my day each time I visit her. I hope that I can have a fraction of the amount of impact on her life as she does in mine. I am so grateful for a program like GCAB to facilitate such a dynamic and rewarding relationship. I am encouraged that other Gordon Students can partake in having such a friendship as well as students from other schools.
