15 Years of Connection: Breaking the Silence of Alzheimer’s Disease

Every gift to National Alzheimer’s Buddies directly supports meaningful, one-on-one connections between students and individuals living with dementia. Your generosity helps sustain companionship, consistency, and care. One visit. One match. One relationship at a time.

  • National Alzheimer’s Buddies is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. This means your donation may be tax-deductible. The exact benefit you receive depends on your individual tax situation and the laws in place for the year you file your tax return.

Beginning in 2026, new tax provisions allow many donations to claim a deduction even if they do not itemize their deduction when filing their federal return. Single taxpayers may be able to deduct up to $1,000 of charitable gifts, and joint filers up to $2,000, as an adjustment to income, in addition to the standard deduction.

If you do itemize your deductions, you may be able to deduct charitable contributions made to qualified organizations like NAB on Schedule A of your federal tax return. The deduction typically applies to the extent permitted by law.

To benefit from a tax deduction:

    1. Make your donation by December 31 for it to count in that tax year

    2. Keep your donation receipt or acknowledgement from NAB

    3. Consult with your tax advisor or accountant to understand how this applies to your tax return
