Mia Gabelev

Doctor of Dental Surgery Candidate

University of Michigan

I'm Mia Gabelev and I am a D2 at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry! During my undergrad at Loyola University Chicago, I was a volunteer coordinator for LUC Alzheimer's Buddies and since coming to Michigan, I helped establish the University of Michigan Chapter of Alzheimer's Buddies.

 

Haley Guffey

PhD Candidate, Integrative & Biomedical Physiology

Pennsylvania State University

My name is Haley, and I am a 4th year PhD candidate at Penn State in the Integrative & Biomedical Physiology program. My research is focused on how the gene ApoE4, the strongest genetic risk factor for developing Alzheimer's disease, increases risk. I founded the Alzheimer's Buddies chapter at Penn State, served as president for one year, and am now currently serving as treasurer as I write my dissertation.

 

Jillian Lee, PhD

PhD in Neuroscience

Wake Forest University

Jillian is currently in graduate school at Wake Forest University. She is in the Neuroscience Ph.D. program with a primary focus in Alzheimer’s Research. She graduated her undergraduate studies at Boston College ‘21 studying Neuroscience and Philosophy. Jillian got involved with NAB as a Co-Director for the Boston College Chapter of Alzheimer’s Buddies from 2019-2021.

 

Justin Liao

Medical Student

University of California, Irvine School of Medicine

I’m a second year medical student at UCISOM interested in neurology! I was the chapter director at UC Santa Cruz and worked in the chapter relations committee after college.

 

Tori Payne

PharmD Candidate

UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy

I am studying for my PharmD degree at UNC ESOP after completing my B.S. in Cell Biology & Genetics at Rice University. I was a shift leader in Rice's Alzheimer's Buddies where I helped coordinated shifts and lead other volunteers and also helped create the Behavioral Training Module for NAB. I am interested in pursuing clinical pharmacy and also love to be active, whether it be working out, dancing, or running!

 

Ashley Suh

Medical Student

Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University

My name is Ashley, and I am a first-year medical student at the Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University. I was president of the Vanderbilt Alzheimer's Buddies chapter during my undergraduate years, and it was by far one of the more meaningful experiences I shared. I stayed involved with NAB as a Chapter Relations Committee Intern during my two gap years!
