Let's change what it means to live with Alzheimer's disease.

When you become a partner of an Alzheimer’s Buddies chapter, you join an intergenerational response against the social isolation imposed by Alzheimer’s.

National Alzheimer’s Buddies (NAB) is a nonprofit built to empower local chapters to lead the movement in their communities. By pairing student volunteers 1-to-1 with dementia residents, an Alzheimer’s Buddies chapter not only offers volunteers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Alzheimer’s residents and their families, but also to develop a stronger understanding of personal identity, build new social skills, make new friends, and spearhead impactful change. Over 15 facilities across the nation currently partner with an Alzheimer's Buddies chapter and we are existed for the opportunity to serve the individuals in your community.

Your cooperation will be requested for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Pairing volunteers with a “buddy”.

  • Arrange for Consent Forms and Photo Releases to be signed by the legal guardians of candidate residents at http://www.alzbuddies.org/signup/.

  • Arrange an on-site Volunteer Orientation.

  • General volunteer management.

  • Assist volunteers in activities and events to connect with the buddies’ family members.
